The Let It Go Series| Gratitude

Good Day Starshine!

Let’s start this morning with something that I think would help each of us throughout our days.

Let’s practice some Gratitude!

Start your day off by writing 3-5 things that you are grateful for (there is nothing too big or

too small). Write on something that you will see throughout your day, (I like writing on mirrors, post-it notes, screensavers, etc.).

Next, write 3-5 affirmations that you can revert back to throughout the day.

Affirmations are something, in a sense, you are speaking into existence. Like, “I am losing weight, and I will make my weight goal.” “I am beautiful.” “My life is destined for greatness.” “I will own my own business, and it will be successful.”

Something small would be something that goes towards an end goal like, “I will call my Grandpa today.” “I will walk Benji for 30 minutes.”

You can even do it in past tense, that way you feel the urge to do it.

“I went to the Gym, and I love it.”

“I finished that load of laundry”

“I read my Bible, wrote in my journal, and prayed”

Here’s mine:

The reason I am deciding to do this is because it helps me strategize my reactions towards the day. If you are like me, you may also forget what day it is or put in the back of your mind what needs to be accomplished for the day. That is how my days start blending into one, and I don’t know which way is up anymore. This is my way of putting on my armor, and believing that I can do more than what my thoughts allow.

I am also doing this as the jump start to my healing and letting go process. Each night (or morning), I vow to pray, love, speak, listen, meditate, and wait on God. This series is my way of being able to do that (because I don’t want to leave anyone astray).

Just know that every thing that you read is what God is putting on my heart to say to you all.

If you are trying this out with me, what are some things you would like to affirm or are grateful for? You don’t have to be a Christian (or be religious) to be grateful for something in your life! Share them below, or email me at tanayaeyvette@gmail.com
