Day 9 of 90: Squirrel Brain
Good day Starshine!
So, today was a good day, per usual. I woke up at 7am, per usual, but this time I only had to used the bathroom ONCE throughout the night! I was so surprised that I slept (for the most part) all the way until 7!
Okay, so I woke up, did some journaling, Bible studying and wrote a blog post about the systematic oppression of Black hair, and I got a little backlash but most of it was supportive. I mean, that's what happens when you write semi-controversial blogs, ya know?
Anyway, this morning I did 40 minutes of yoga (I sweat soooooooooo much), ate some delicious savory breakfast, and drank some new Maple Bourbon coffee we bought. Peter didn't inform me (or maybe I forgot...don't judge me) that this coffee was light roast. My body doesn't respond well to light roast coffee. I literally have the jitters ALL DAY, and today was no different.
I ran around the apartment like a squirrel, decluttering cabinets, painting this wall I've put on the backburner, straightened my desk, vacuumed, painted my buffet, organized the kitchen, and then...it happened. I couldn't figure out why I was getting so lightheaded. Then, I realized it was already almost 4pm and I hadn't eaten since 11am.
*smacks myself in the face*
I immediately grabbed a sweet potato and put it in the oven. I have no idea what I was going to make with it then...DING! I quickly remembered the eggplant, carrots, and kale that were sitting in the fridge. My friend dropped some veggies off to me with enough kale to last me a lifetime. So I decided to use kale for every meal anyway because my period is coming next week.
I ended up making a stuffed sweet potato with sauteed kale +eggplants + carrots +crunchy habanero chickpeas with an avocado on the side!
I haven't figured out what I'm going to eat for dinner just yet, but I know for sure it'll be something small. Who knows...
Okay, that's all for now! See you all tomorrow!
